“2 DECADES OF POP”
A tribute to the last 20 years (or more...) of POP music
Once upon a time a girl, who used to listen to Nick Cave every day, broke her leg at night while dancing to the Spice Girls, in her bedroom. It really happened.
Guilty pleasures, personal hits that made you feel ashamed, songs that are deeply
irresistable and that made you think more than once: "Would my life be different now if I had let myself go with some more pop throughout the years?tt".
After "A Century Of Covers", the tribute to the Art of Belle & Sebastian, Kirsten Postcards has decided to enbark in a new adventure: "2 Decades Of Pop". A collection of the best hits of the last twenty years, re-made, re-thought, transformed and transfigured.
Someone once said that if a song is good, it works in every clothes and it's ok to wonder about this:
if PJ Harvey and not Britney Spears sang the words "the love that you give, don't you know that it's toxic", wouldn't many indie hearts have been conquered?
